The world’s largest purely civil aviation trade show will be held October 6-8 at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center and the Orlando Executive Airport as part of the NBAA 61st Annual Meeting and Convention. Last year’s convention ranked 8th among U.S. trade shows. NBAA2008 is expected to draw more than 30,000 attendees from around the world with more than 1,000 exhibitors.

The Orange County Convention Center will host indoor trade show displays and information sessions while the Orlando Executive Airport will provide space for over 100 state-of-the-art aircraft for viewing.

The Opening General Session will feature leaders from industry and government including Civil Aviation Organization President Roberto Kobeh Gonzalez and famed political couple James Carville and Mary Matalin. Information sessions will begin immediately after.

Workshops available for attendees will address emergency response planning, flight operations manual, as well as record keeping and regulatory compliance. Aviation professionals from every segment of the industry will find something of interest.

The NBAA2008 Charities Gala will feature the Blues Brothers with Jim Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. They will be bringing their classic hits “Sweet Home Chicago,” “Messin’ With the Kid,” and “Soul Man.”

Also featured will be the 4th Annual Live and Silent Auctions to benefit NBAA Charities which provides assistance to entities using business aircraft for humanitarian efforts including Angel Flight America, the Corporate Angel Network, and Veterans Airlift Command.
