IAAPA Attractions Expo 2009

The IAAPA Attractions Expo will be coming to Las Vegas for the first time in 90 years this coming November. This event will showcase the hottest products and services and host networking and education opportunities for the attractions industry. More than 28,000 attendees from 90 countries are expected at this year’s show. Over 1,000 exhibitors will be on hand including more than 100 companies exhibiting for the first time.

The IAAPA Attractions Expo brings together operators and suppliers of theme parks, water parks, science centers, aquariums, zoos, museums, family entertainment centers, casinos, and resorts. Attendees will be able to see and experience the latest products and learn about industry trends. Exhibitors will showcase products in over 125 categories including theme park rides, show production services, games and devices, displays and sets, food and beverage products and services, consultant services, design services, ticketing systems, and much more.

This year’s expo will feature new additions including an area dedicated to coin-operated games, the AIMS (Amusement Industry Manufacturers & Suppliers) International Pavilion, and the UBIFRANCE (French Trade Commission) Pavilion.

More than 100 education sessions will cover topics dealing with social media strategy, food and beverage operations, retail management, revenue generation, safety, and security practices. Specialty tracks will offer topics specific to zoos and aquariums, museums and science centers, water parks and resorts, family entertainment centers, and casinos. There will be a roundtable discussion with legendary Disney Imagineers on their experiences with Walt Disney.

Special networking and social events will be available including the IAAPA International Charity Golf Tournament, the new IAAPA Bright Lights Party at LAX Nightclub, and the General Managers and Owners’ Breakfast.
